Terms of Service
Agreement
By installing or using Booksmarky (the Chrome extension, related API, and this website), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Service description
Booksmarky helps you organize Chrome bookmarks with AI-powered folder suggestions. Suggestions are recommendations only — bookmarks are moved in Chrome only when you explicitly confirm an action inside the extension. We do not guarantee that every suggestion will be accurate or suitable for your workflow.
Eligibility & accounts
- You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
- Sign-in uses Google OAuth. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure.
- You may not share, resell, or sublicense access to paid credits or attempt to circumvent account or usage limits.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Booksmarky for unlawful purposes or to process content you do not have the right to use.
- Abuse, overload, or attempt to reverse-engineer the extension, API, or payment systems.
- Automate requests in a way that bypasses normal extension use or credit billing.
- Interfere with other users’ access or with the security or integrity of the service.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms or if continued use poses risk to the service or other users.
Credits & payment
- Credit model: AI analysis consumes credits from your balance. New users receive a one-time welcome credit grant. Additional credits are sold as prepaid packages inside the extension.
- Checkout: payments are processed by Creem. Prices shown at checkout are the amount charged. Launch promotional pricing may change; purchased credits already in your account remain available after a price change.
- No subscription: Booksmarky does not bill on a recurring subscription basis unless we clearly state otherwise in the product UI.
- Refunds: except where required by applicable law, credit purchases are final once credits are added to your balance. If a payment error occurs, contact us promptly at the email below.
- Taxes: you are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with your purchase, as handled by the payment provider.
Our rights & responsibilities
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical. Core bookmark control remains on your device unless you confirm a change.
- We work to keep the service available and secure, but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- AI outputs may be incomplete or incorrect. You remain responsible for reviewing suggestions before applying bookmark moves.
- Booksmarky, its branding, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the extension for personal or internal business bookmark organization.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Booksmarky is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for lost bookmarks, lost data, indirect damages, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for credits in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
